Brainbox - To You (Netherlands 1972)

"Brainbox is a Dutch rock group from the late early 1970s. It was founded in Amsterdam by guitarist Jan Akkerman, drummer Pierre van der Linden, and singer Kazamir (Kaz) Lux. Their debut single was "Down Man", which established their progressive blues sound. They had several hit singles in the Netherlands, including "Between Alpha and Omega", "Doomsday Train", and "Smile". Soon after they released their first album, Akkerman and van der Linden left the group to join Focus. They were replaced by guitarists Herman Meyer and Rudie de Quelijoe and drummer Frans Smit. Meyer was later replaced by John Schuursma. After Kaz Lux left the group in 1971, their popularity waned and they split up in 1972. In 2004 Kaz Lux reassembled the band (though without Jan Akkerman) and they performed in the Netherlands." (via Wikipedia)

Glad to have found this on Brainbox, thanks!
I once saw what looks like a 80s Brainbox reunion video clip with Akkerman.
I also heard Akkerman stayed a bit with Brainbox after the first Focus LP,but I never got more details about this?

Great music by a great band. But I always wondered why the tracklist on this album was not chronologically. In April 2010 I saw Brainbox in Haarlem, during a reunion tour with Kaz Lux, drummer Pierre van der Linden and guitarists John Schuursma and Rudy de Queljoe. They still were fantastic!

Thanks for running this blog, I think is the best way to know music and buy it later. I'm developing a record (vinyl) shop on line, so if anyboby want to take a look. My prices are reasonable.
